This project started initially as a label design project but my approach was to work on the branding first. This vineyard and winery business had already established their name "Blue Elk" - the elk being a very omnipresent symbol in the upper eastern shore area. However the location was a pivotal chapter in American Revolutionary history so I developed the "Revolutionary Roots" theme and combined the theme with a custom created elk vector graphic based on a client image comp.

Because the elk was a more complicated graphic and a more simplified logo graphic is often useful for insignias, merchandising imprints and signage I created the "BEV" elk antler icon which the vineyard uses on their wineglasses and for collateral design in their tasting room.
